Volunteering builds our school community and enriches the Mack experience for our students, staff, and families.

Many members of our community, from parents to grandparents to alumni, volunteer at Mackintosh Academy. In 2018, our parent community logged over 2000 hours of volunteer time. Each family is expected to volunteer 20 hours per year, but on average our families exceed that goal! We embrace parent involvement; for more information on how parents can help, please see our Parent Community page.

We also welcome alumni and community members to become involved in volunteering at Mack. There are a number of opportunities throughout the year, whether it is speaking to a class about your profession or hobby, assisting at events, or doing some hands-on work with our greenhouse or other sustainability projects. Please contact our Front Office to be connected with an opportunity that’s right for you.

Global action is a central part of our mission as an International Baccalaureate school. Our students and faculty perform a number of service projects in the Littleton community and beyond. Our students have adopted a nearby park, helped out at food banks, volunteered with residents at a memory care home, performed for patients at Children’s Hospital, and helped teach performing arts to preschoolers. If you are interested in partnering with Mackintosh Academy for a community volunteer opportunity, please contact our Front Office to see how we can support you.

A key way that Mack focuses on global action is through our sustainability and environmental initiatives. You can learn more about our award-winning programs here.
